Yes, it is possible. Besides the Slack-standard export format, the exported data is also converted to HTML so it could be easily viewed by any web browser.
Is it possible to restore the exported data into or merge with another Slack workspace?
Yes, it is possible. Backupery for Slack also exports the data in a Slack-standardized format (zip archive which contains JSON files), so the exported data could be imported back to Slack if necessary. Read file import notice.
I take security very seriously. Is it safe to use the application?
Security is very important for us because we understand we are working with sensitive information. That is why the applications work locally, without storing or processing your data by any third-party web service. The applications use an industry-standard way to get access to Slack (OAuth 2.0), so you do not need to share your Slack username and password with the Backupery applications. All the communications with Slack services are made by a secure HTTPS protocol. Also, we are utilizing the best practices to build our applications: we use well-known development software and trusted third-party components. All our software signed with a digital signature to confirm the identity.

What is the difference between Standard and Pro licenses?
- The Standard license allows the app to export the data (public & private channels, direct messages, files, etc.) related to the installing user (the user who installs the app). For example, if the user takes part in a conversation, then the whole conversation is exported (including messages and uploaded files of all members). If the user is not in a conversation, the conversation is not exported.
- The Pro license additionally allows the app to export conversations where the installing user does not participate. To export a channel or DM where the installing user does not take part in, it is necessary to make some additional setup: https://www.backupery.com/backupery-for-slack-desktop-manual/#SelectDataToExport. In other words, use the Pro license if you need to export the channels and direct messages that are related to a whole Slack workspace, not to a specific user. Usually, the Pro license allows you to export more data than the Standard license (as it can access more data than the installing user can access).
I need a feature your app doesn’t provide. Can you develop it for me?
