Hi, I’m interested in trying Backupery for Slack, but I’m on a Mac, and I can’t find any link for a Mac download? I see a Mac application mentioned, but I can’t find it. Is it no longer available?

Thank you for your question. We’ve discovered a couple of problems in a Mac version of the app recently so we decided to remove it temporarily from the download page. I don’t have any estimations when it may be fixed, I’m afraid. Any chance to try the Windows app?
I’m currently using the Mac app. Should I be concerned about the problems you discovered?
I don’t think you should be concerned, actually, nothing critical or security-related is here. The main problem is that the app is unable to start properly under some circumstances. If the app worked previously so you are welcome to continue using it. Please let me know if you have any questions.

We are backuping our messages from our Slack Workspace. Unfortunately, colleagues who have Mac have difficulties downloading and installing the app. Is there a way to download all version that is suitable fr MAC?

As the app is not available for Mac, my colleague gave me her Slack credentials to do a backup for her (she has only Mac).
I removed the previous application and installed backupery again, but the backup started from the time when I did the last session (a few days ago). I would need to backup a data from 2017. Do you know how to reset/change dates in the app?

Thank you for your question.
The application makes full backups each time, so it should back up everything from the beginning. So you should just change the user by pressing the Change button (on the Help tab) and run the export again.

The Mac version has been put on hold and we do not plan to release it in the near future as we decided to focus on the Windows version at this moment. Any chance to try the Windows app or run the Windows app using virtual machines like Vmware, Parallels, Virtual Box?
